International OpenADR Symposium, San Francisco, Calif.

Co-hosted by:
Southern California Edison

This event has ended.  View the presentations HERE.

Standardized, open, and cyber secure communications are critical to effectively scaling the electric grid of the future. The OpenADR protocol meets the challenge, supporting communications to all demand-side resources to “inform and motivate” customer assets and manage changes in load shape and energy and power characteristics of their distributed energy resources (DER). This Symposium will focus is on the application of open, highly secure, and two-way information exchange for dynamic pricing and reliability signals between utility, aggregator and DERs with the OpenADR profile specification.

Discover how energy service providers and customers in the United States and around the world standardize demand response (DR) and DER communications, automate DR/DER processes, simplify customer energy management and address cyber security. Join utility DR/DER program managers and solution providers as they share key challenges and lessons learned about communications and interoperability in DR/DER programs.

Who Should Attend
This event is open to all industry professionals with preference given to OpenADR members. The agenda is designed to help those responsible for DR/DER program development or management to gain a better understanding of how the OpenADR standard is being applied in the electricity market and other distribution system reliability activities. The target audience is program staff from electric utilities, community/ aggregators, and other energy service providers, as well as policy makers and regulators, researchers and control suppliers who share a common interest in standardized, automated demand response technology. See below for a list of Who's Coming!

Sponsor Opportunities
Sponsor opportunities start at $2,000 and may include: logo with description in program materials; registrant list; table displays, hosting hospitality functions, and multiple attendee registrations. Our staff would welcome the opportunity to have a screen-share web conversation with you to offer an orientation tour of the sponsor benefit options and guide you toward the benefits that would be best to meet your unique needs.
