- Service providers, such as electric utilities and ISOs, can achieve faster access to the market, reliable DR, and lower development and integration costs through the advancement of standards development, demonstration, and conformance framework for certification and testing.
- Systems integrators and control vendors, can speed time to market and lower development and integration costs through the use of an open industry interoperable standard, automation of DR communications, and a well-defined process for conformance framework and technical support. The interoperable products and systems enable more flexible system configurations.
- Standards development organizations are likely to see a more efficient standards development once the alliance serves as a centralized entity to collaborate activities among different organizations.
- Policy and regulatory agencies will benefit the consumers that they represent through the consensus-based DR standards that are supported by industry and demonstrated through field-testing and commercially available products.
